We warrant all of our products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of delivery. We do not warrant against normal wear and tear, or damage due to customer accident or misuse. There is no warranty against loss of any part of your jewelry, stone, metal, etc. Warranty does not apply to estate jewelry or to any merchandise sold “as-is” or as a “final sale”. Although the labor cost of the repair itself might be free, depending on our warranty designation (see below), the cost of replaced stones or missing parts will be charged at our cost.
All items will be free from any manufacturing defects at the time of delivery. A member of our quality-control staff personally inspects every item prior to shipment, so it is very unlikely to be anything less than perfect. In the event that there is ever a problem with your jewelry, it can be mailed back to us for inspection. We will refund the shipping cost back to us and will ship the item back to you at our expense ONLY if any we designate the repair to be “manufacturing defect”. This is a rare condition and simply means that our quality control did not notice the defect prior to item being shipped. Any alterations (such as sizing) performed after delivery, even done by Steven kirsch Inc. void any warranty.
If the defect is revealed while the item is being worn we will NOT refund the money you paid to ship it to us, We will however repair the item for free and will pay return shipping. Warranty does not apply to any damages stemming from regular wear.
Repair at Cost
If jewelry is worn, misshaped or has defects/lost stones resulted from abuse or pro longed wear we’ll attempt to repair and correct problems at a minimal cost. Any repair related to wear and tear or repair of an item that has under gone a stress of wear, item that was sized or repaired previously (even by us) will be done for a fee and all shipping costs are customer’s responsibility.
Out of Warranty
We warrantee all merchandise against defects in manufacturing and workmanship. We are not responsible for those items subjected to excessive or improper wear, abuse, or physical damage whether accidental or not, altered or repaired atunauthorized shops. We have a right to refuse such a repair. Any shipping charges will be customer’s responsibility. We return repairs by ground shipment, you have an option to pay the difference if you want faster service. We will pay for domestic shipping only, all international shipping is solely customer’s responsibility. Natural variations in products made in whole or in part of natural materials, such as gemstones are not considered defects. Handmade products will generally vary in color or texture. The appearance may vary on metal surfaces, particularly those applied by hand such as *antique* style finishes. Metal may stain, scratch, crack or discolor.
The customer must exercise proper care to minimize any such damage. Additionally the insurance and protection of your merchandise is solely your responsibility, and Steven Kirsch, Inc. shall not be held liable for any loss, theft, or resulting damages what so ever that may occur, even during the one year warranty period.
